Very happy.

Any standard 384k uncapped users upgraded to gold, did you guys notice any difference ? Im asking cause it seems i get the same performance as standard users, shaping, speed etc..

Think im gonna downgrade to standard, if its feels the same as gold i will keep it unless another upgrade offer comes along... I am on debit order anyway and paying the full R318..

I will bump the line speed up with the savings + extra, if any :P

What backbone are you on?

lol... Speedtest wont even complete to NY...

Something is stuffed!

Local speeds appear to be fine, doing an international speedtest to new york on the other hand appears to be dog slow.

Browsing also has slowed down a bit internationally wise, pages really loading slow for me. I'm on a IS based gold account. Anyone else with similar results ?

hi guys

I just signed up with OpenWeb yesterday the 512 gold account....anyway my question is how long does it take them to activate my account? I received my password and username as well...but when i log on to openweb it still says "ADSL user: to be assigned" and my "account status: pending"... is this normal? On my rooter Billion 7800n it says connection 251/512... I have got a 512 line from telkom... Should i email admin or support?

Thanks guys

What really ticks me off is when my 96kbps audio stream begins to buffer, like now. :p

I dont mind the shaping during office hours... I just want stability!

Ouch,

Your local seems buggered too. Either something hogging the line or a line / Exchange problem? What happens if you do a traceroute to say mybroadband.co.za?

Reset my router, went off for a quick walk with the doggy and now it seems that international browsing isn't too bad (at least I can sort of view the e-mail on the MemoryC special) - I'm not too picky...just please don't let GMail tell me that something went wrong and I'm pleased as er...pie!

But here's the traceroute anyway:

Tracing route to mybroadband.co.za [41.203.21.137]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

No problem there. I've noticed quite a few people are having international issues lately, that's why I found that local speedtest odd but ya speedtest.net goes funny sometimes.
