Local looks good and international looks ok but for the last 2-3 days, when I load pages they just stop loading all of a sudden. Not so very stable...

What line you on? 384?
Yeah I've had that page problem too... having to do lots of refreshes :(

Hahahaha at Mweb Ops.

But yeah the VB Gold is up and down at the moment

More down than up at present. Got a sample torrent - 2013 seeds, 554 peers of which 0 are connecting. No firewall, port forwarded in router config. If I try to download a .torrent file it comes down at < 100B/s. Suspicious much? :D

.exe files work as do all other file extensions. Just .torrents fail badly - and from any source.

Forwarding this to MrBeep as well :)

Plot thickens... I also can't browse to Rapidshare.com and Megaupload.com yet if I use their IPs (195.122.131.11 and 174.140.154.24 respectively) it kinda works - at least pretends to maybe load. Not that this means anything what with those just being two random sites. Other browsing works fine.

In case it interests anyone, primary DNS is set to 196.44.90.2 (auto) and secondary DNS is set to 8.8.8.8 (auto)

Try restarting your router?

Third time trying....

Still no dice :) Everything just as borked :D
Out of interest, D7e7r7 - what does your OW username end in? Mine ends in @dsl-bcsnet.co.za

Not like I need to do much browsing tonight so I'll see what MrBeep says :) I'm fairly chilled about all this at present since in a couple of days OW has given me more support and more interwebs than Mweb did the other 15 days of the month.

Torrent peaked at 16k sometime during the night and is now at a whopping 2.4k

Our Gold ADSL network was designed for the home and business user whom requires good latency and a superior internet experience.

:D :p

Now why can't I seem to get those speeds with any file hosting site :p

Started downloads from megaupload 7 hours ago and have 304mb total of a 1.92GB download

Gold Uncapped - been swapped over to the vb network and it's made no difference. Torrents come down at a shockingly bad speed and browsing is erratic and occasionally just times out.

Speedtests aren't too bad but everything else is pretty carp.

i sighned up for the special of the gold...would u say i must stil get it? i use to get 70gig on the month i used LITE...can someone post how much data u get with LITE? I dont download SO heavy..ill be happy with 70 gig again on LITE. ( i play a lot of xbox, need the latency)

Hi AntiThesis,

Please mail me: [email protected] I think I might have a permanent fix for you, as the problem is not what I originally thought it was

Anyone experiencing problems today? I'm getting the same speed as I would when I'm in the top downloading group.

EDIT:

It's a little bit better now but still not what it should be.

Yebo. Can browse internationally but that's it. Can't download anything at present - trying to get CPU-z (3.5mb) and it's stuck at 0.1, coming down at < 500B/s

Hey Friends,

Please mail me: [email protected] with your ADSL username so that I can investigate.

All networks are running below capacity currently, so it should be super fast.
