Yes, it is definitely worth it.
Comparing Std uncapped to Gold is like comparing the N1 with the Autobahn.
In terms of torrents, Std uncapped is more shaped during the day but it's fine at night. Just remember not to "abuse" your line with constant downloads, as to keep away from thresholds. Gold has no thresholds on the amount of data.

I need some serious help! My Gold account has been running AWFULLY since the 1st, Telkom have been here twice in the past 4 days to check the exchange etc and they have reset my port 4 times, yet I can still barely open any pages and any P2P I try connects at 0kb/s. This forum took forever to open....

Its not going to help to have Mr BEEP reset my port, its been tried over and over with no success. What else can I do? Any suggestions? When I use my Telkom account it connects perfectly and P2P flies. I'm really bleak ATM.

Ask to try a different backbone.
 
Guys I need to know if there is someone else her in the Centurion area with a Gold Uncapped account on the Vodacom Business Backbone?
Since the weekend, I have been getting **** speeds on my account. I just logged on with my free FNB Connect account and it gave me full speeds. So it is not my line.

Please let me know.

Mweb doesnt know what a port reset it. If you ask their technicians they would think you want to reset your modem to factory defaults.

This worries me a bit. Not once while I was with MWEB did I require a port reset. Seems quite common here though.
 
Anyone else sitting with slow speeds on IS Gold today? It was fine last night. It's almost suicidal today.
