LOL yeah Killa, I think when your exchange is also upgraded you'll get some pretty awesome speeds :D

Test conducted on Tue Sep 13 2011 09:13:06 GMT+0200 (South Africa Standard Time)

Download Speed: 7736 kbps (967 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 562 kbps (70.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 39 ms

Good times :D

I have to say though, that hitting full 10MB speed is something that only happens once in 2-3 months time. Overall the account runs at 4MB speeds, but hey, I'm not complaining to obtain 10MB speeds every now and then :)

Dont think they doing upgrades anymore - my exhange supports 10MB - but they wont up me - tried a few times

Get yourself an after hours uncapped account!!!! You'll be getting those speeds 7pm-7am weekdays and all weekend!!!! It's pure bliss I tell you!!!! R899 a month though. For the rest of the time a 10gb account from Afrihost at R190 with the option to purchase gigs later on in the month at a reduced rate of R14.50 per gig!!!

So in total that is over a grand to get around 0.2 meg more than we do sandman?

Doesn't make financial sense to me, if you take 4 meg by 24 hours it would equal 8 meg, so in a day we are only just short your 10 meg speeds and we don't need an additional account for day use

I would rather have 4 meg uncapped 24/7 than 10 meg for 12 hours with an additional 190 capped account so i can make use of it during the day.

Now 10 meg uncapped for 900/1000 bucks then we talking :D
 
My line is practically dead again, apart from the fact the speedtest.net is now prioritised on the network to create the illusion the line works. Going to various other testers confirm the line is dead
 
Some websites fail to open on first try, but after a refresh or 2 opens.

Anyone else experiencing problems on VB?

My results looks almost normal for a 384 line:

Yup got the exact same problem on VB, i will reset the router later and see if it helps though.

Reboot sorted the issue

I'll try it too, although I switched it off last night and back on this morning, don't see why it would be the problem.

Suddenly since switching over to VB I am getting full speed on Usenet. Constant 5.5 Mbps for the last 45 minutes. :D

I don't expect it to last.

Well i have had the webpages timing out issue the whole day, i rebooted and it's perfect now so i do see why it would work.

VJB why do you doubt it? VB has been full speed for now for 2 weeks 24/7

What's your average speed on nntp?
I'm trying out a newsdemon account, just like to know what I can expect on the VB network using nntp.
