Hi froot,

Sounds like a DNS issue.

Please try:

Primasry DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

Thanks MrBeep.

I have a question though..... my web works fine wrt speed etc, but some sites don't load... this related to the adsl issues?

To specify, Firefox says "loading", then loads a blank screen.
Internet Explorer just says "IE cannot load this page".

The sites work fine via another account of mine.

Mr Beep, its not DNS I am using what you posted. There are quite a few international sites I can't access, Amazon being one of them. Please look into this.

I can't get onto Amazon either. Same problem with Minecraft.net (the website). Gizmodo.com doesn't work for me either.

Yeah, to echo this issue... I'm on Gold 384 Uncapped (VB network) and I can't access major US-based sites like Hotmail (bloody inconvenient!), Amazon, IMDB etc. Seems very strange.

Those with Origin issues, login from another account and stay logged in and back to your OW account. Worked for me. Getting just over 420KB/s at the moment for the BF3 beta.

As to International sites not working, tried a couple now and working, post a URL please and will test for you guys. :)

Also using google DNS...

Edit: scratch that, Hotmail and IMDB not working :/

Hi Friends,

I have logged a fault with the upstream provider this afternoon.

I apologize for the inconvenience,

Also having issues with Dropbox and other sites at random still.

*sigh*

The last few weeks been very off-ish.

I have been unaffected by all this.

It has been another perfect month of full speed 24/7 for me.
I am in Cape Town on 384 OW Gold on an IS backbone and have not had a single hiccup.

Yay :D

+1 to Origin, i can only access it if logged from another account (FNB in this case) and back again into my OW account :p

@killa, that is exactly what i am experiencing, why on earth would the "upstream provider" do this to us haha. Boggles the mind eish!

Yup i actually thought i had my password wrong, i ran a test i turned off my router and origin says password incorrect with no connection. So i thought hmmmm HTF would it know my password is wrong if it cannot check :D.

It's also a few other sites that won't work either, nntp is full speed but i would take half speed with working origin.
