Even with HD movies... there are only so many each month, unless you start archiving bluray releases as they come not - no mater what they are.

It is indeed, assuming you don't have a taste for 1080p movies. I can get to 500GB easily (assuming a 4mb line) if I take everything in HD+ format.
But yeah, 500GB is actually more than enough, especially sustained.

Even with 500gb you would need to download every single movie release to even get close. As rapid says you could download the 50gb version then it would be easy :D but i think 500gb would be fair for a usage policy. In all honesty even 300gb would be fine with me.

I am sure you get people who just download for the sake of it and then have 10-20 tb's of stuff that barely gets watched.

I saw on nzbmatrix some okes were pulling as much as 6-14 tb a month

I have around 16TB's of stuff :(

But that's going back to 1999 :p

Ran out of hard-drive space this weekend, and digging through my cupboard to find something I could use for a while I discovered an unopened 2TB Hdd :)

My account has been going strong the entire day, 380+ - it really does seem like I have the opposite of day time shaping.

I keep all my old downloads and online digital purchases, never know when I want want them again :p

About 9 years ago there was a site that sold digital music cheap (think it was R1 a song), and gave you two free songs a day.... Built up a HUUUGE digital music collection.

It used to take me an hour to download a single song.... Don't wanna know how long it took you to build up that collection :p

That was it - apparently at that stage it was legal in Russia :p Didn't last long - I still have all my links saved on an old laptop at home.

It was way over 100Gb...which back then was a lot... spanned multiple drives. My company at that stage had an internet connection that would shame today's Telkom offerings :p

Yeah, battling tonight again. Came right yesterday, can't even log in to GMail. Yet ftp is flying !!!

NNTP on I.S

On an uncapped/unshaped Account (I.S Backbone) i'm getting 500Kbs, a significant drop from the 950Kbs I use to get weeks ago. Looks like I.S is shaping the "unshaped" packages these days. I was getting poor speeds the weekend as well before it eventually picked up again, going to graph this, as I definately think there is whack shaping in place.
