I just received this email from Openweb:

Dear OpenWebber,

It is with great pleasure that we announce a price decrease on our Vodacom Business 4096k ALL HOURS Uncapped ADSL account.

From today, the price will be R2699 for new clients.

Existing clients will automatically be billed only R2699 from December onwards!

For more information on this account, kindly visit:

This is just another way OpenWeb is striving to bring affordable business ADSL to you!

Kind regards

So this means that my monthly fee will also go down?

Wow...does that mean he will only pay R2699 too???

Just had a rep here from IS... seems they are also jumping on the bandwagon with their own uncapped 4meg fibre adsl account, although i believe theirs comes with a static IP. Costs R2899 i believe... probably why vodacom reduced their prices :)

Then you best pack up and move to a country that offers it, in terms of SA that is a very good price.

Puts on a kilt... No laddie in thsi country we will fight, for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee(internet)

No it's not.

I agree...its not at all.

I know all about the amount of users needed for cheaper internet and bladibla. BUT...7 pounds for uncapped internet on a 8mb/s line downloading at 2mb/s average is just ridiculous!!!

7 pounds = +- R91... WTF!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!! R2699 (4mb/s) <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< R91 (8mb/s)!!!

Screw everyone that thinks different!

Got this in my inbox on last Friday. And Openweb is testing their cheaper lower speed uncapped account, and will release once they ready.

Im glad openweb are passing the price decreases onto its clients. My boss took one of these accounts as well last month and he says he couldnt be happier. And you know, a happy boss = a happy cableguy :)
