Hi all

I need some advice.
I signed up with OpenWeb for a 30gig local acc on the 20th of Aug.
My IS ADSL usage tracker reports that I used 11gb in 5 days since then. I was downloading plenty of stuff.
On the 5th day I switched accounts over to my international one, but when switching back to local 30 min later I couldn't get in. Tried changing password - still no dice.
On Monday morning when I report a fault to openweb they tell me that I'm capped at 34GIG. Apparently they have some mystical, magical ADMIN stats that are different to the IS USAGE STATS. They won't let me see these magic TOP SECRET stats - I am just supposed to take their word that I used 34GIG in 5 days on a 384 line. Are they bull****ting me or what? Surely I should see these "ADMIN" stats for my account - where do they come from?
They claim that someone else could have been using my account - I doubt this as my ISP password and router password were changed. They have apparently submitted the account to IS for investigation.

What do I do? I understand that OpenWeb are providing pretty cheap bandwidth which is to be supported, but why these draconian policies..

Hey, my buddy had the same problem, I rate openweb are ripping u off. If it says 11 gigs on the IS tracker then phone and scream at them that you have only used 11 gigs. Also ask them for all the IP's making a connection and see if there were any during your "inactivity" period.

My buddy btw just left it and his account worked fine the next month.

Hey All

As explained to the client, we have submitted the stats to the IS support desk for an explanation.

Once we have feedback, the client will be informed.

OpenWeb runs an honest business, and would not destroy its reputation by "ripping" clients off, as so politely phrased by phiber.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the client, and will be resposponding directly to the client regarding this issue.

Kind regards
MrBEEP
