Why does mybroadband.com tout this isp? They have no customer service. They ignore complaints. I have a perfectly working 4mb line, but still my torrents that are well seeded downloads at 0.6kb/s max. I phoned their pathetic helpdesk. After 50 calls it got answered. Dane their only call center operator told me to email Keoma personaly with my problem. Needless to say the useless ceo failed to respond to my email.

As a public service I urge all to avoid this isp like the plague. They steal your money and deliver a service that makes dialup at 56k seem like heaven.

Personally, I have also experienced an incident where my e-mail seemed to have been consigned to some void, never to be addressed.

However, to be fair, a quick search on these forums will show that all ISPs have been guilty of poor customer support every now and then. But equally, you will find posts of praise for each of the ISPs. OpenWeb CEO MrBeep, for example, works even on weekends and holidays to resolve them, making him popular amongst some of the forumites.

You definitely have a right to lodge a complaint and it's unfortunate that you haven't been assisted after so many attempts so let's hope that MrBeep can respond to your complaint now.

Yup. MrBEEP is always ready to help in whatever capacity he can and more often than not goes beyond the call of duty. I've been with them for almost a year now and every time I've had an issue, it has been dealt with. As far as I'm concerned, there is no ISP that compares (and I've tried them all).

Ok as far as you are concerned there is no comparison.
As far as I am conserned I compare Afrihosts offering of 50 gig unshaped to Openweb's offering of 50 gig shaped. There is no comparison to be made. One delivers an outstanding product... The other tries to weasel you out of your money.

But let us continue.
Some questions to KEOMA.

Question 1: Why is it that your call center disconnects your calls after 45 seconds with the message "subscriber cannot receive messages at this moment. Please dial again later."
Question 2: You sent me an email which read:"I am offering you 50GB's of Shaped (P2P, torrents and similar) 4Mbps (Max speed) ADSL access for R289!" Please elaborate what you deem as similar. Do you deem youtube as similar? Because with a 4mb adsl line and your "special" youtube is unwatchable.
Question 3: Do you have only one call center operator named Dane?
Question 4:Your catch phrase is " It's just so easy" Does this refer to you stealing my money?

Awaiting your reply in anticipation.

Cancel and switch to Mweb. That ISP is also running out of money and they won't last with those crazy prices.

I have said it plenty of times before - Keoma is an awesome guy, it's just a pity that Openweb's service falls a bit flat. I had nothing but shocking levels of speeds for months on end and the product just never delivered. I went to Axxess and I was pleasantly surprised at how well run it is. Seriously, it isn't that hard to get a front end of business right now is it? And then backing that front end up with stuff that just works?

"Emergency Contact: Keoma Wright - Founder - 072 3698 444 " This is from the ISP contact number thread. But when called it is answered by a miss Khubela. Miss Khubela is not very pleased that Keoma put her number up as a contact person for Openweb, as she is a domestic worker.

When people say you have to clean up your act Keoma, we do not literally mean clean up, so please take down the cleaning ladies number.

When I used OpenWeb a few years ago I was generally happy with the personal support I got from Keoma, but I always got the impression that his business enterprise was stuck together with chewing gum and sellotape and being run from his garage. I'm sure that was not the case, but that was my impression. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong, but he was always on hand to patch things up, possibly with another wad of chewing gum.

Hi Idi Amin,

I am sorry to see that you started this thread with such negatives about OpenWeb.

Please PM me with your username so that I can investigate.

We always strive to improve on our service, and will investigate as to why your email was not received.

P.S, OpenWeb is going nowhere, please refrain from spreading such ridiculous rumours. We are growing every month, and most of our clients are folks from the ISP you suggest they move to, due to the fact that most people do not enjoy being a number, they prefer being addressed by their name.

Kind regards
MrBEEP

P.S You may also use our SMS facility. Sms the word openweb followed by your message to 34110

I called you guys at 14h00 this afternoon. Your call center told me to email [email protected] . They told me you are awaiting my email ( i did laugh). So I mailed you. No response. Your call center lied.

I respond to every single email I receive. Always have and always will.

As stated in my previous post, there can be a variety of reasons your message was not responded to.

Perhaps:

1. We did not receive your email
2. It was delayed by your SMTP server
3. It was delayed by our mail server
4. It was sent to the wrong address
the list goes on and on.

Let us resolve the issue now, instead of you insulting OpenWeb further. PM me, so that we can make sure I receive the communication.

Openweb is the BEST ISP EVER!! Never had a days problem with them.

I spoke to Dane at your call center and he asked that I email you with my problem.

Username: [email protected]

Problem 0.6kb/s average speeds on my torrents.
I have a 4mb adsl connection.
Speed is testing fine on speedtest.net.

Regards Jannie

If I were you Mr Beep, I would kindly refuse to service idi amin. Give him his money back and disconnect him. I'm sure his money is not worth the trouble he is giving you.

hello idiot you use torrents it's not legel so they can block any or all p2p or even ban your account or u could go to jail for an couple of year for piracy...
