Another complaint about openweb, whoopeee...

Yeah I am really REALLY  right now.

Here is my sad story...

On the 30 May I have paid for my internet account and then on the 1 June when I wanted to connect, I couldnt. I checked on the bandwidth monitor and I realised the account has been deleted, I sent them an e-mail (expecting that they will reply very fast) asking what the hell has happened. 2 days later someone decided to reply, saying that they did not receive the proof of payment.

I have done the same thing every month for 7 months. I always let the internet banking thing send the proof and it said it was sent successfully. After a few days of sending mails they have decided to pay the money back, sent the banking details and then I did not receive a thing.

It is now 12 June, still not received a thing. I have asked them again whats going on, then here is the sad thing. They asked me who was I again and why do I want them to pay the money into my account, I should not send my account details to them, I have to pay money into their account on the end of June for July's internet account. I almost fell of my chair, how can they be so disorganised  ? They are so disorganised that they cannot even sort out a simple refund.

So just for those who are using openweb, when you get a problem dont expect it to be resolved asap you might see a solution after 2 weeks. Good luck for those who are using or want to use openweb's services, I know I am DONE with them

Enjoy the cold week end ;-)

You should deal ONLY with Mr BEEP, by PM or email. No-one else at Openweb even knows the time of day.

I've always had my issues dealt with by admin on the same day! :D

Not that I have had many issues.

Hi Tokashi

A very cold goodmorning to you. Thank you for the initiation of the thread.

Kindly PM me your details, including OW number and reference used for payment. I will take a look and resolve the matter for you as soon as possible.

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Luckily there are hundreds of VERY satisfied customers, and these customers complaining is only an anomoly!

I don't think you need a complaint to realize that their support lacks because you cannot get through and that they do not offer 24/7 support. That is a fact. If you are happy with inferior service then you are indeed not very well informed or you are ignorant about the matter. Openweb has the most complaints of any ISP on this thread and on sites like Hallopeter.

You might argue that they have the more customers? I do not know if they do have more, but I do know that they do not offer 24/7 support and that a lot of other people find their services to be below par.

For it to be an anomaly, you would have an odd thread started here and there. It seems that is not the case.

There might be a lot of satisfied customers from openweb, but then you also have to ask yourself if they know any better and what their service tolerance levels are.

member 14596601 - I have taken a look at your previous posts and it seems you have nothing much to say on this forum except when you get an opportunity to badmouth openweb.

I must say, this looks AWFULLY FISHY to me, only posting in the openweb threads.

your nickname is also very suspicious. you also only have a post count of 33, but have been a member since last year?

Are you perhaps from a Competing ISP????

My bad service experiences from Openweb inspired me to warn others on the forums. My username is actually an old student number at varsity.

Although I started out only posting on Openweb threads, which is obvious since my history of bad service with them, I now actively read the rest of the forums and post my thoughts there. Even try to help here and there with people struggling with hardware and software related issues.

If you ever feel the frustrations of what bad service in any form does, you will understand why consumers become pro active in warning others.

SARCASM!!

I have never had any problems with Openweb, that is why I stayed with them for 7 months actually more I can't really remember when I started.

But the main problem was the slow response and it was really disorganised when solving the problem. I guess it was just a small communication problem between the user and ISP.

Anyway the problem was resolved and we can move on with our lives ;)

Thank you MrBeep

99% of his posts are either badmouthing Openweb,or saying how fantastic Axxess is.There`s your answer.

And that is significant how?

If I experience good service, I would like others to know. If I experience bad service, I would also like them to know.

I have only made 40 posts in total. So you would say anyone new to the forum is working for competition?

ADSL and the Isp I choose is of significant importance to me and to many others. I rely on my internet connection daily for my thesis and even business.

So yes, if I get a company that works well in RSA (that is a rare occurrence), I believe others should definitely know about it.

There are two companies I have particularly disliked because of bad service and two which I praise because of good service. So for you to say that 99% of my posts relate to bad mouthing Openweb and praising Axxess is already misstating the facts.

The facts are : 12 /40 posts are not related to my services with Openweb and Axxess. So, 99% even figuratively speaking is way off. I believe 28 posts regarding my service is reasonable. Some of the Openweb posts were made much earlier, and because I did not need to deal with them of late, I also had little reason to post anything about them lately.

40% of my last 10 posts are Openweb related which were mostly in response.

If I am only stating the facts about ISP's then I personally do not believe that I'm bad mouthing anyone. As a matter of fact, they are doing it to themselves, I just reflect on what I get.

Even though you say that your username is an old student number,I have to go with Keeper on this one.
Your username is very very suspicious.
