Opera 10 Beta 1 :)

Sigh that is really F * cking annoying I cant even tell you......YEARS of bookmarks just ****n gone like that. Dumb fuKNGG software!

You must use opera sync. It'll preserve your bookmarks if something goes wrong.

I have it running all the time.

Er just run the old version of Opera. The Opera 10 installer installs in its own folder.

@kingrob: Facebook is viewing normally on 9.

lol yeah, i think what has happened is the shortcut on his desktop has now changed to opera 10 folder's opera.exe.

His bookmarks will still be in his old opera folder.

Ok, so then 10 should be ok?

After 9 showed FB all wrong, I read a thread where Opera users were complaining that Facebook devs showed them the finger and didn't support Opera properly.

Let's take 10 beta for a spin.

Ok my bad - managed to find the old 9 .exe and all my bookmarks are there etc.....To many whiskeys last night and not enough brain power. Thanks :)

lol I actually feel like such a tit for getting so upset, but a few whiskeys will do that to you :D

I must say I am enjoying this Beta, it actually feels faster. Look forward to the final release. And the spell check is great.

Glad to hear you came out all right :)
Yep does feel faster & Gmail is working better on it too!

Very nice. Slick, fast, stable. I worked out how to get all the Opera 9 stuff into 10 - bookmarks, wand, ad filters, etc.

One problem: Gmail is broken. Get errors trying to reply or forward. Can't figure out why. Happens on two completely different machines (but both running Opera 10 on Win7).

Working fine for me on Server 2003. How did you import the passwords etc? I tried pasting the old settings directory into the new one and no luck

Yeah all round, very neat and tidy. I must say the spell checker is magic feature ;) Gonna save the Edit button....

Searched for .adr to find exactly where Opera 9 and 10 were storing their settings; I could see by the file dates/times which was newest. Simply copied over the files of the same name, from the 9 folder to the 10 folder.
