Opera Mini approved for iPhone

Just saying, it's here. Go check da App Store. It's not very iPhone-like, nor as smooth as Safari at all! But you save bandwidth so yay!

You can disable alot of features that you cant in Safari and you can access WAP sites instead of the full site. I am still glad I sold my iPhone

80-90%. Quite a lot.
@bex. You can just type go to WAP sites in Safari. Instead of going to facebook.com, just type in m.facebook.com. Etc etc.

Must say I am not that impressed.

It feels bulky, it is unresponsive on the tabs, it feels like it is trying to make a statement with it's own set of UI rules instead of using iPhone guidelines and standard practices, and overall is just overrated.

Also Gmail is *ALOT* better on Safari than Opera Mini. There is no comparison.

i am well aware but some sites just would not let me goto the WAP version or worse some sites are purely wap. That was not the only reason I rid myself of the Steve Jobs curse (lets leave that for another day)

It's fast for sure and the tabbing is genuine in that it does not simply reload a page when you switch back to the tab.

Beyond that ...meh.
