Anyone idea how to update the Opera that came with the phone?

Gingerbread came with v6 I think, but if I get v7.5 then it installs it separately, therefore having two installs of Opera, is this normal?

Yep it was like that on blackberry as well with different versions of opera mini.

Just disable the old one.
