Opera Mini Not Working

Since yesterday Opera Mini doesn't seem to work on my Motorola Milestone when using normal EDGE connection. It simply doesn't load any pages or seem to get a connection. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it and with the reinstall I had to connect via Wifi to actually get the install to work. With WiFi Opera Mini works fine, but when I turn wifi off and try to connect using EDGE it's dead.

The native browser on the phone works fine on EDGE and it seems only Opera Mini is affected. Nothing has changed since I last managed to use it (no other app installs, setting changes etc.).

I'm completely lost on how to resolve this. Anyone have any ideas? :confused:
 
Sometimes rebooting the phone resolves operamini issues
 
Is this an Android phone? Try clearing the apps cache under Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications.
 
Yes. It's an Android phone. Under Manage Applications it doesn't give me an option to clear the cache for Opera Mini. It's already at 0.
 
I have the exact same problem with wildfire s. Even tried a factory reset as well as a number of different web settings, but no luck. All my other apps work, even opera mobile.
Anyone have any ideas?
I contacted opera support, still waiting for a reply.
 
I've also got a milestone and opera hasn't been working since last night either!! went and googled got no answers... everything else seems to be working barely... my problem is not limited to edge opera doesn't work on gprs edge 3g nor hsdpa.. furthermore my internet has been extremely slow even though i am on hsdpa?? Need to get opera working my android browser's killing me! Didn't realise my internet bundle was depleted and today alone R30 airtime gone!!

Don't know if this has any connection to the new data packages offered by mtn.. are u also mtn? There's a package "opera mini browser" bundle thingy at ussd *141*6#????
 
Read on news that the opera bundle works with mtn branded opera. My opera is mtn branded so it might be that if you don't have the bundle loaded this specific version of opera doesn't work... if that is true it sucks!
 
ok that is the problem. i just bought the opera mini bundle and it works again. sucks
 
Just checked and it seems the problem has "magically" solved itself. Guess someone at MTN must have noticed that they made a mess of things somewhere and corrected. At least I hope that's the case.
 
cool it's working now, but it seems i can't download from opera. anyone getting same problem?
