Opera Mini

Haven't used Opera Mini for some time. Use to work great. This morning I needed to use it and I kept on getting: "An error occurred"

Downloaded the latest version (3.1) and still getting the same. I'm using a Nokia 3200. Anyone with knowledge about this? Mxit and WAP working 100%. Is Vodacom blocking opera? Can anyone on other networks use opera mini?

I've noticed its been lagging a lot lately, being unable to connect etc. Tried it on other networks to test and had the same problem so guessing its on the Opera side. Everything runs through their servers, maybe they're getting overloaded?

I have Opera mini installed (Russian Version) and use it daily without any hiccups

Got mine to work again. Changed the settings to a settings set I received from exactmobile a LONG time ago.

Are there any other browsers worth loading on a phone? My HTC TyTN works very well with Opera BUT I would prefer to avoid paying $24 now that my trial period is coming to an end!

I presume you're using Opera Mobile if you have to pay for it? Opera mini's free.

Opera Mini should work fine for you - it does on my K-JAM (with the latest JVM), anyway. Otherwise check out this detailed blog for more options.
