Opera releases browser with free VPN

Just to confirm the vpn function works really well.

The built in adblocker is also great. Get auto translation as well.

Really liking this browser!

Unless I'm missing something here, and very much mistaken, only the browser's own traffic is via VPN?

Actually you are 100% correct.
I opened chrome at the same time and it was not on the vpn.
Also checked the torrents and I appeared with my standard IP.
Oh well back to VpnGate we go which works 100% all round :)

Why would anyone assume it's a 'global' vpn working system wide?

Been using the developer beta for months. Use it to watch Sky News etc. No data cap. Just works. No need to dial up to a VPN, it's on by default once you've enabled it. Pretty fast, as I stream with it.

I tried it out last night, and my streaming was normal so I was impressed. I was afraid that I'd end up having to buffer what I was streaming, but I had not problems.

I sent a tweet a few months ago asking about a U.K. VPN. They said it was something they will consider.

Which means no, imo.

Tried it and it isn't working for me when trying to watch youtube and it times out

Websites someone go through but I also get Authentication credentials required messages
