Opera vs Internet Explorer

Please could you help! I installed Opera last night as I had heard that it is much faster then Internet Explorer. I mostly use my internet for Facebook. I use about 40 - 50mb per night on Facebook. Last night, however, using Opera, I saw that my data usage was 110mb!!!! I don't know if I just used it for longer, or if Opera somehow uses more data??? Anyone got any ideas for me??? Thanks

You state that you use 40-50mb is that up or down? Opera will show you up and down so it is still within the realm of what you have been using. I have switched to AFRIhost and for 100GIGABYTES its really really cheap - but if you cannot afford this you can always take their R14.5/Gig offer......

Opera FTW but this is just strange. My wife's pc is on Firefox and I'm on Opera and we use about the same though we mostly plough about in Farmville??

I checked the data usage on my Vodacom balance enquiry. I am on the 1GB plan. It checks your usage for that session. And no, can't get off Facebook - I'm hooked!

I also use Facebook mainly for Farmville and Mafia Wars. And I do the same things every night. So I couldn't understand why it was much higher last night! Not like I had more to do then usual.

You probably click on more links with Opera than with IE, because it moves so much faster.
