[Opinion] SONA 2019 Thread

I will be impressed if we can climb to be in the top 50 countries in the world to do business.
Top 30 would be better no?

Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
Government.
And more government.

Liberty remains a distant dream.
Honestly what did you expect from our local Karl Marx supporters?

Just think what this SONA would have been like if the Zupta faction had won, ......... Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma

Exposed! UK probes SA presidential hopeful Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma for financial crimes

South Africans have long suspected that President Jacob Zuma is pushing his ex-wife Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma to become the next president as part of a plan to protect the extended Zuma family. Last week Nkosazana’s name appeared on a list, along with other members of the Zuma family, that was circulated among UK and European politicians. She stands accused of money laundering – which is pushing funds acquired through the proceeds of crime through the global financial system.

Did your see the sheepish grin on Tom Moyane's face when Cyril talked about getting rid of corruption at SARS. Poor guy.

It may not be Friday, but I assure you, it will be action night! It won't be SONA without a fight.

I kid you not, I've just made some popcorn and a cup of tea. Plonked on the sofa and ready for tonight's big fight live from the madir city.
I take it that you are disappointed with no action?

Glad I'm not the finance minister who must get the money for all the promises. This year's budget is going to interesting.

For them to cover the costs of these promises made, they will urgently need to dip their fingers into the GEPF, private pension funds, launch the NHI with urgency to get a flow of funds and impose new forms of taxes and rates increases real soon.

South Africa simply does not have the money to do this. I also suspect we can expect a lot less money contributed towards basic services this coming year. Pennies and cents will need to be taken from any available avenue to cover these unrealistic targets they set.

That Scorpion like body sounds like a really good to go after the corrupt and recover the loot these leeches stole. I just hope it prosecutes without fear or favour and that CR survives a move like that announcement.

Looks like it lines up with my guess that he will be voted off or taken out come December.. unions and 50% of party wanting you out.. yep

In CR .. I trust...Scorpions are back, The tonality of the speech is indicative of someone that has a better grip on his party.
I am also positive about his speech. He really is making the right decisions, the political capital that he will get post election will make the road easier for him. What he and the new scorpions must now do is to sync the arrest of the ministers that are corrupt with the new administration then his cabinet will be automatically much smaller.

How is he going to be voted out come December? you clearly have no idea about how the power dynamics work within a party like the ANC, let's take KZN as an example, the party's Provincial chairperson is now backing Ramaphosa, he has the Zuma camp so worried that they now no longer want him to be premier. Things ahave changed a lot from how they were at that elective conference. It is not as simple as you would like us to believe.

What about one of Zuma's biggest supporter Mbalula? Have you seen how he treats uBaba these days? Shameless...
The women's league have gone silent and Oros has developed a conscience. If we were to organise another ANC elective conference you would be very surprised at the results, it won't be that close contest it was the previous time.
