Only the ANC has the experience to move the country forward, the party's deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa said on Friday.

"Only we can win and continue the task of transforming South Africa," he told a National Union of Mineworkers shop stewards' council in Boksburg on the east Rand.

"So go out and make sure we get a resounding victory... The ANC is going to win with an overwhelming majority come 8th May."

He said the country had only become better since 1994 because the African National Congress made it better.

Ramaphosa said the ANC had been tirelessly campaigning in recent months not only for votes but also to better the lives of citizens.

"We are working day and night. We are among our people, from north to south, east to west.

"We even go to areas were protests are taking place. It's where we are needed, we go. The people love the ANC, they love us."

He told delegates his party was so loved that defectors were returning in droves.

"Yes we have a good story to tell but also a beautiful story to tell," he said.

"Yes challenges are huge and immense but I find that there is also hope."

Yeah, experience in looting, corruption, pilfering and race-blaming.

Oh sod off Cyril.... this country would be a hell of a lot further ahead if it wasn't for your little corrupt leader, FirePool Zuma and all your corrupt "cadres"

The people love the ANC, they love us."

Prince George: Why, the public love me! Only the other day, I was out in the street and they sang, `We hail Prince George! We hail Prince George!'

Edmund Blackadder: `We *hate* Prince George', sir. `We *hate* Prince George!'

Prince George: Was it?

We know, Nkandla looks awesome.

Ramaphosa said the ANC had been tirelessly campaigning in recent months not only for votes but also to better the lives of citizens.

"We are working day and night. We are among our people, from north to south, east to west.

Oh we have no doubt about that.
