Orange interested in Vodacom?

A report suggests that French based operator Orange SA, has expressed interest in buying some of Vodafone’s African operations whcih would include Vodacom, its South African subsidiary.

The Vodacom brand is one of the most valuable in Africa. I can't see this being a good fit unless they choose not to rebrand, but I don't see that happening...

Hmmmm this would be interesting, but I doubt Vodafone will give up its African footprint easily, or cheaply.
