Has anyone purchased a phone from the Orange Online store? They seem to have pretty decent prices, I'm just not sure about their service ....
 
Their service are ok but... not if you stay in Bloemfontein. It took a day or two for my phone to get to JHB via UPS the problem is UPS only have offices in a few cities.....and if you don't live in one of them you got problems. They then use XPS to courier your phone to a "remote" area. This can take a few days.....when it got to Bloemfontein I had to fetch it from them because the XPS driver didn't have a GPS!
 
Now that's one thing I can say for Orange: the price quoted for the phone is the total cost including shipping. Even if there's a delay in obtaining stock and prices go up, the price you pay will not be effected once you have placed your order nor will vat be added when you collect it.
 
Yeah I heard even customs charges and fee's by dhl cause of customs delay are also not payable by the buyer.... I read it on a topic somewhere here on mybb. Pretty decent since the nokia lumia 920 is selling there for R4099 which I think is pretty decent
 
They initially had a few teething problems, but they fessed up and fixed the problems. From what I've heard they are quite good. :D
 
(1) I was on that site a couple days ago--they are registered in a Cape Town address??
(2) Also there are phone with DUAL SIMS--maybe I am still old school, does this country allow DUAL SIM phones?
(3) Any luck of seeing the Galaxy Note 3 in this online Store?

I was thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini DUAL SIM option. Cost the same as the single sim phone.

I had that problem and orange couldn't help me at all
Costed endless calls and queiries
 
I see them very active on twitter rather see what is the turnaround time for them to answer your tweet that way it can give you insight into them. (I am very skeptical when purchasing online, also check hellopeter).

With orange probably entering the market as MVO time will tell.
 
I purchased a Nokia 820 from them 3 weeks back they deliver within 2-3 days what price you see is what you pay they use DHL or UPS to deliver so really detailed tracking information.They are very highly recommended.They are backed by Data Select in the UK who completes the orders and after sales services.

That's odd, once they ship it takes 2/3 days to get here. Customs issues are DHL retardness when the phone is shipped via them. DHL think you should pay custom fees which is incorrect.
 
Orange is the old Expansys.

I tried buying an S3 from them a month or so ago for my wife. Thank god there was an error on their site and the transaction was never processed!

Not from what I've seen. Expansys SA is no more - was taken over (back?) by Expansys UK and the shop is still active and crazily expensive on eg. the shipping fees the last time I checked. Orange merely uses the Expansys UK backend through a partership agreement with Expansys UK.

I am not sorry that my order went thru even thou I had to wait a while: I got what I wanted at the price that I were quoted.
 
I made an order on Monday, it got shipped immediately, it arrived yesterday evening at the airport and got cleared by customs immediately. But now DHL says they will only courier it from the warehouse on Tuesday as I am in a ''remote'' area. It means I will only get it by next week Wednesday, so much for express delivery! :mad:
