Orange Online Store

@I.am.Sam - I'd be a bit weary getting the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite", even at that price.

I tried one out at Makro about 2 months ago, and without any extra apps added, scrolling between screens wasn't smooth, like I was expecting. Before ordering online, try it & others out to compare, either at Makro or one of the other retailers (assuming not yet done so?).

I'm sure it's door delivery, but either need to phone them or wait for one of the many on this forum I'm sure have had delivered, to answer.

a buddy wants a cheap tab with max budget at 1500

there is the voda and mtn tabs and very little others

the samsung is kinda the best ...its for a 10 year old kid

the voda and mtn tabs

Points taken - if any consolation, I also tried out the Voda Tab owned by an employee of a Clicks store around the same time. She'd had it for about a year, and it was loaded with apps & pics. It was far better (smoother) than the Samsung.

I still can't understand why, as it has low RAM (512MB if remember correctly). The MTN one has 1GB I recall, but didn't get good reviews because of the screen.

As the Voda / MTN ones would be locally bought, no problem returning within 7 days for full refund.
Your choice entirely, but if I were to buy one around that price range - and I might when specs improve more - it'd probably be one of the local ones.

I will never buy a Samsung tablet again. I have the Tab 3 3G. Suck big time, with lag etc. The Huawei MediaPad T1, I bought during Dstv promo, is much better and smoother.

Does your buddy require that the tablet have a sim slot?

I think rather than ruling out Samsung Tablets, know what you're getting into. I'm pretty sure their "Tab" range of tablets are their low-end tablets.

I'm assuming this because I used to roll with a Galaxy Note 10.1, and later had it replaced with the Tab 4 10.1. The Tab 4 is newer, but it is considerably less powerful and responsive than the old Note.

I miss the Note :(

Fair enough. I now do more research before buying tech.

If you need a sim card in the 1500- 2000 bracket go lenovo

If you need a wifi only tablet then go Lg g pad from orange.

And if you stretch to the 2500 bracket go for the New Huawei Mediapad T1 10inch snapdragon 410 lte +wifi

Experiences with Orange seem to vary quite a bit, but I've had no cause for complaint. I ordered a Surface Pro 3 from them and they delivered without any hassle well within the 8 day shipping period that was originally quoted - it would have been even sooner but for the public holiday this week. This is the second item I've purchased from them and the experience was just as good the first time, too.

I've ordered from them as well, no issues.

However, when they say something is in stock it might not be. And if you cancel an order it will get taken out of your credit card first and refunded later.
