Orange Pipes

Took this pic yesterday. Seeing open trenches with Neotel tape all around Cape Town isn't good news. When will these guys be ready??
 
Don't worry it's cape town man...puff some fynbos and look at the mountain while you wait :)
 
also seen a lot of fibre being laid in rivonia/fourways/bryanston/midrand areas... any ideas who this is for? Is headoffice is not that far, so maybe it could be them, but yeah... hopefully its neotel, and they feel like laying a nice phat fibre line into my house, so that I never ever have to leave again ;)

i hope their dsl is out soon but its unlikely that its coming out within the next 2months , maybe after that. but they did say they had a announcement today or something like that , about some consumer products or something?
 
LOL - This is all very funny. I would not care if their pipes were green with purple polka dots - as long as they provide us with a good alternative to Telscum at reasonable pricing. Who cares what the colour of their pipes are? I can't actually believe a whole thread has been dedicated to this... LOL

well so much for that wish! their pricing sucks so far.

if you even considered using them for gaming that requires low latency, continue searching for another option. i have lost faith in Neotel.

I am almost there with you - it's sad that the public is already losing "faith" in a product or service that is still launching, but if they don't want to listen to us...:mad:
 
Neotel - What is this?

This orange cable comes out a Neotel manhole and goes up a metrorail pillar through the box to that black dome thingy. What is it?
