Orange Pipes

LOL. Workers are digging trenches and putting orange pipes in them around kloof. Would these pipes belong to neotel?

Don't know...

There vehicles should be branded with the Neotel logo if it's them.

Could be Neotel of Vodacom. Both use the same subcontractor, Dark Fiber Africa

Telkom also uses orange pipes. I asked the okes laying pipes on Lynwood & they said its fibre for Telkom.

Don't give me a fright like that Pooky, anyway they are currently re-laying telkom lines in Kloof I know Neotel were working in Ptn a while back but not Kloof yet.

One contractor guy I knew told me orange tubes are Neotel fibre.

Well it all depends on were they buying their ducting from, I have used orange ones on Vodacom, Cell-C, MTN and Telkom basically whatever colour is avalible we use. Telkom are currently re-laying their fibre optic in the Transkei and they are using orange. ;)

Sitting at the robots, N1 and Glenhove this morning I noticed 4 different colour, 2" thick pipes sticking out the road as well as 5 or 6, 1/2" also different colour pipes. I don't know who's they were but I found myself thinking how big will the RJ45 be for those cables? :D

well if they cut the road it could be :) Telkom normally digs up pavements.
