Order from ZA Orange Store

I was dying to order a Nexus 5 from them but after reading all these bad stories (and across several other threads) and them taking 2 days (and still no reply) to a simple question of whether or not their Credit Card processing allows for Budget transactions, I can't bring myself to place and order with them. It just feels to risky now.
 
UPDATE: Just received my flip shell case from FedEx.
EDIT: I just realised that this thread is 1 month old....:whistle:...:wtf:

Has anyone ordered anything from Orange in the past couple of weeks ? Your experience with them ?
I am considering ordering a Moto X from them ,but then I came accross all the complaints on Hellopeter ,so now I am not so sure so I thought I would check in and see if anyone hashad any dealings with them in the past month and what your thoughts are .

I want to order the Sony Z3 Copper or White since our local w@nkers only offer black, but im quite hesitant. I think we need to start a poll ...
 
Recently got a Motorola g 2014. Their service feedback is slow but I got the phone no problem.
 
Ordered a moto g 2014 2 weeks ago on a Monday

When I placed the order it said "stock available at Central warehouse should ship same working day"

Once I paid it changed to "awaiting stock"

Was quite pissed about this.
Anyway after phoning them they said phone would ship to SA next Monday. Which it did. It then took FedEx 2 days to deliver it to me.

So all in all I got the phone in a week and a half and for a very good price. But was quite upset about the change in delivery times
 
What method of payment have you guys used when placing orders through Orange ? Iv ready a good couple of posts over at Hellopeter with guys having issues when paying with Credit Card and then Orange claiming that they never received the funds .

I must admit the lack of communication from them does not inspire a lot of confidence even if their pricing is good .
 
Credit card didn't work for me either until I used it through PayPal.
 
Yeah i was thinking of rather using PayPal as well if I do decide to go through them . How long did they take to acknowledge the payment when you used Paypal ?
 
I've ordered through Orange before. Not great in terms of communication, but if you're not in a hurry it's fine. My product arrived just fine within a week or two (it was not listed as "in stock" and so I expected the wait). Used a credit card no probs.
 
I ordered a phone from them and weeks later it still wasn't delivered. So I cancelled the order on the 25th of September. My money has still not been released.

I would never make use of them again. Their communication is crazy poor and I have no idea when I'll have my money back.

I have had a refund from them before.

When you place the order they log it as an outstanding purchase with your bank and only take the money once your order is shipped .

When my order was cancelled they just did nothing and the outstanding payment just never went though .
 
Hey all, this is my first post so please bear with me.

I recently ordered a phone on the orange za store on Thursday 19/02/2015 and on the website the words "100+ in stock - shipment probably in same working day" were present. I thought that was really convenient and so placed my order and paid via credit card.
I visited the order tracking page and to my surprise, only the universal adaptor was "in stock" and the phone was "expected 3 days"
Fast forward 4 days and on Monday 23/02/2015 it had said "expected 1 day" I thought at least by Wednesday or Thursday I'd get my phone. Now on Tuesday 24/02/2015 I check the status, and lo and behold the phone is now back to "expected 3 days" is this just me or is my phone having trouble getting to SA from the UK? Is this normal? and based on the information given on the online store, shouldn't I be receiving the phone at the latest today? Anyone one got similar experience?

Have you (not ?) read the horror stories in this other thread ; you might be in for a bit of a wait, and will likely be messed around in the process ; try asking for a refund, and see how long that takes :

 
I ordered a Galaxy A3 on 31/03/2015. So far the customer service has been good. Status changed from "awaiting payment" to "awaiting stock" on 1/04/2015.
After positive service I asked for an update of my order on 6 April and got an email stating the phone will arrive in JHB on 7 April. The next day the estimated dispatch time changed from "1 day" to "6 days". When I asked what had happened I was told a phone would be shipped from France as soon as possible ????? Poor form Orange!
 
90% of their handsets say out of stock. Things havent been going well with Orange for a while. They dont seem to replenish stock either. Proceed with caution.

Hi all, also placed order (Moto E 2nd gen) with orange on the 1st of April, called them to get an update and apparently its sitting waiting at customs to clear.

Wanting to find out how long others have waited I went to the Orange South Africa Online store feedback thread http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/666879-Orange-South-Africa-Online-store-feedback-thread and its gone.... Any one know why?
I think that thread was deleted because there were too many threads relating to orange. Phone them every day asking for an update regarding your order. Some people have waited 6 Working days, 2weeks, 2 months(their system moves the status of ur order backwards, due to stock issues), a few months and some people struggle to get a refund.

6 working days is the same as saying 2 weeks.Keep calling them and wait it out.
