Received my Collector's Ed copy today! I haven't felt quite such a (gaming-related) thrill in many months!
:D

The box is quite sweet and somehow does leave one feeling like you've received some decent extra's

I'm installing and it's busy "Downloading". Since I'm on 56K dialup (ouch), it would've been really cool if they'd included a monitor of the speeds... Well, the first download took only about 10min, which is a relief
edit: ahhh... a whole lot more to be downloaded. darn.

There's so much to read and learn around the net though.

On the whole, not too positive, because of poor connections possibly. I had 1 crash in the first quest to kill Mantid Hatchlings. Then I go to Ludo, to find the Headmaster, but GW refuses to connect (sits looping on "Connecting...").

I don't think your probs are because of being on 56k...sounds like you need an ISP with decent international links.

@Flarkit: I agree with lewstherin. Are you maybe using Absa internet or one of the other really low budget internet providers? I think especially Absa users have reported your kind of problems.

*ding!*
I am on Absa. When I installed the game at about 19h15 last night, it was quite fine. Downloads stayed at 5Kb/s and took about an hour, beforeI could play. Then at about 10pm, things went south, with just GW being stuck trying to Connect. Everything else was fine. I gave up after 11pm

At 06h30 this morning, the speeds and connectivity was good again.

Absa are pretty hideous for gaming because their service is so over-subscribed - its kind of OK for web browsing but sux for anything requiring a stable, decent ping.
Do yourself a favour and try get a dial-up account with a good ISP.
Can't recommend one since I haven't used dial up in years, but I'm sure this forum will have people/posts that can help.
