:D I just placed my order for my Xbox 360 from BTGames.....

Only 1 month to go....

Man I can't wait, my Router is on it's way as well so I can hook straight into live when it arrives.....

Come on September... Hurry up
 
I also ordered mine last week, today i got the logitech Z-5500 to compliment the machine as i wanna play in proper 5.1, adsl is already set up so i'll be jumping straight on live too, I've also reserved a gamertag, i suggest you go to xbox.com and reserve yours now before someone takes your name, when you get your 360 you can retrieve it when it asks you to sign up for live
 
Cool I'm gonna go get my Gamer Tag.... Maybe when I'm bigger I can go for the entire 5.1 thing... but don't have the cash right now and my old 5.1 system got destroyed whilst I was building :(
 
cool... so who is going to be at BT Games at midnight on the 29th? I know i will! :p

by the way, having a regular 4 speaker setup in analogue works nicely as well, have been using my Logitech X620 speakers with the X360 since i am "relocated" in the garage lately. ;)
 
pre-ordered mine also :) got my creative inspire 5700 ready too..

what games did you guys pre-order with it?

me, just call of duty 2.. and fifa 2007 launches somewhere in the middle of the month so ill wait for that..
 
I got DOA 4, Table Tennis :D and Quake 4....

I'm not going at midnight mine is being delivered on Saturday morning. I like games but midnight is a bit silly in my old opinion ;)...

I can't wait for Fifa 2007 I still play Fifa 2003 on my old Xbox, just good fun.

I wanted to get call of duty 2 but then I saw that call of duty 3 is coming soon.

Anyone know where I can get the wireless network adaptor?
 
Gavin I'd advise against Quake 4, rather order GRAW, or Prey for an FPS.

The 360 version od Q4 apparently has terrible performance issues and isn't as good as the PC version. (Quick port for launch didn't go too well).
 
i agree with Doobi... GRAW is the best FPS other than Prey to showcase the X360 at the moment. ;)

PGR3 if you are into racing is a must too plus DoA4 if you want cat fights. :p
 
Guys just a wee bit of advice, the non cheap a$$ version with the HDD comes with an HD plug- not many TV's or monitors support this so make sure you get the HD pack if u wanna hook up to a monitor/projector DVI etc. Otherwise its gonna be sega style RCA. Oh yeah and Thomsz - most of us, they fit nicely on the back of our elephants

I have heard all the bad things about Quake 4, but for me it's a spiritual thing :)
Quake I was the game that got me into gaming professionally. It brings back memories... I need it...

No need for sarcasm, it was a simple question, as to get the most out of the 360 you need an HD Tv.

Played XBox 360 on a normal 72cm tv, could only bare it for about a month, you will definitely need a HD TV, makes the worlds difference.
 
you dont really need an hdtv, but i'm saving up for christmas to get this

as its true hd, Gavin that set is a plasma and it doesnt do true hd as its 852 x 480, you need a set that can do 1284 * 768 atleast as thats 720p
 
I wont be camping at 12am at bt games for the 360 as i'll just pick it during the saturday as i'm going to be at rage anyways and the bt games is right next to the dome
 
I was reading something about the differences between LCD and Plasma and basically what really matters to me is that LCD is not very good for watching sports. Which is why I want a plasma....
