In practical terms he won't server time for that charge, but will be found unfit to own a firearm, so the theory is that he'll not be able to shoot any more girlfriends in the toilet, because he won't have a gun.

His career will be over. No high-level training for at least the next 10-months then he'd be 32/33 by the time he can compete again. It is over for him as an athlete. He'll make a buck or two when he writes his book, does a few interviews and gets his movie made, but it is over for him. Mike Tyson and Michael Vick never recovered their careers following their prison terms. Made a little money, sure, but they were not what they were.
