Just download the combo file from Apple via a download manager. Much easier (and safer to install).

Know that feeling... Had it happen TWICE on the same 900mb-odd update last year... :(

Well for now I can see that safari is less ram hungry - LESS :wtf: still goes up to 350Mb with two tabs opened...

Other then that I think I need some time to see what was changed...

I had an odd problem with my Update. The screen turned a slight blue colour and the update froze. Luckily, recovered by going into safe mode (yes, Apple also has a safe mode) and reinstall the Combo update. Apple feels a bit more responsive now. Otherwise, no other differences perceived.

Wait for initial bugs to be worked out. :)

Early adopters can get burned.

Updated my MBP via app store, too. No issues.
Since I have just gotten the laptop and have not used OS X since 10.8.0 So I don't know how much as really improved. Let's see.

Updated 13" MBPR no issues noted, and one where the screen would not awake from sleep....have to mess the cursor to reveal the user account like wiping a window, seems to have been fixed.
