***Disregard*** Mistaken not Y220 phone!

It doesn't have standard USB socket. It is supplied with cable ending up with type A plug. This plug doesn't have extra pins required for OTG.

I saw OTG cables on Amazon for this phone, but pictures show a lie, they use standard mini/micro USB plugs instead of Huawei proprietary plug. It looks like Website is taking phone model number from Google search string and updates page dynamically to position itself on the top of the search results.

According to here -> http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_ascend_y220-5921.php, your phone has a MicroUSB v2.0 connection, which means this -> http://www.avsupply.co.za/product_info.php/20cm-micro-usb-usb-female-otg-cable-p-354 or this -> http://www.avsupply.co.za/product_info.php/micro-usb-usb-female-otg-p-359, will work :)

No, gsmarena is wrong. Phone has a wider connector accomodating extra pins for handsfree.

You have nice prices, BTW.

Sorry we couldn't help you this time

Thanks, but above cable plugs to micro USB connector on the phone. Y220 doesn't have one...

What a fool! Please disregard all above.

The gardener has Y220 phone but now he brought to me some Samsung rubbish, I didn't notice that!
Yes, Y220 has a standard micro USB connector. :-(
