OTP's Not Being Received, MTN

Anyone else not getting OTP SMS's? I got one from Afrihost but I can't log into MailChimp or OpenAI because I'm not getting any OTP's from them.

Too kak scared I'll get locked out of my accounts if I try with any other sites.

Tried registering an OpenAI account with my wife's number, also MTN and she's not getting the OTP either.

I have experienced this in the past but today I did receive 2 sms OTP's from Microsoft within the last 30min.
Ive experienced vowifi connections going stale and then I dont receive calls, so ive wondered if sometimes when I havent received OTP's if its been because of stale vowifi connections.

Will try turning off WiFi but I don't have VoWiFi enabled.

Its all speculation on my part. Like I said for now things seem to be working fine for me.
I also enable airplane mode or restart my phone and that sometimes sorts it out.
But generally im only aware of when I dont get calls, and not so much sms's.

Tried airplane, restart, called mtn to refresh my line, turned off all spam blocks, reset cache on messages app

Still nothing

Driving me mental

This might be related or not, but at one point, I found I wasn't getting OTPs from MWeb. The reason turned out to be that when I got spam SMSs before, I would always block those numbers.

Once I unblocked all the numbers, I got my OTPs just fine.

So I don't block those numbers anymore...not ideal, but I can't risk missing OTPs.

It would help if service providers sent OTPs from a single number which you can mark as safe. But unfortunately that wasn't the case with MWeb at the time. They seemed to be drawing from a pool of sending numbers which spammers used.

Maybe it's changed since then, though.

I have it often from MTN, it either never arrives or takes 15 minutes.

More annoying? when i'm roamign with my MTN phone in another country i get the OTP in like 2 seconds flat lol.
 
LS messing with the MTN towers happens to me too from time to time on MTN
