At my wits end...
So moved into this brand new house with DSTV over fibre, communal dish, right?
More specific, Burgundy Estate, Milnerton.
Long story short:
The following channels disappears between 09:00 and 15:00. Every.Day.
Literally. The signal strength deteriorates from 99% to zero in 3minutes.
The pictures pixelates, sound is crackly, then black screen with the decoder message stating no signal....
11514 H:
HD 103, HD 115, HD 199, HD 200, HD 205, HD 206, HD 208, HD 211, HD 213, HD 900
11554 V:
HD 104, HD 109, HD 110, HD 144, HD 201, HD 203, HD 204, HD 330, HD 901
11554 H:
HD 105, HD 106, HD 147, HD 161, HD 194, HD 207
Hardware: HD PVR 2P
What I have done so far:
1. Replaced both the cables. Twice already.
Once with off the shelf Ellies one's, once with custom made, extra thick center core copper cable.
Made no difference.
2. Had Frogfoot there.
Tested the FTU - 100%
Re-seated the four cables between the FTU and wallbox.
Made no difference.
3. I eliminated the wallbox and cables to the FTU by connecting the external cables directly to the FTU.
Testing all 16 possible combinations.
Made no difference.
4. Contacted the DSTV contracted installer - GBSat
Z.E.R.O. commitment. F'all. Nada.
Last phone call I was promised on her mothers grave, bless her soul, a tech will arrange a site visit date and time.
That was 4 April. Never materialized. Basically showing no intent. see #2 . above and #6 below. What else can they
do?
5. I have added all the suggest additional networks as stated on their (and many other) websites.

6. I have had the PVR at the MultiChoice service center; tested 100%
My neighbour with the latest Explora was "given" a multiswitch? and he never has problems.
Nor did he have any that he knows of...
Now, how the fsk does SOME channels, you can set your watch to it, vanish??
