Our old flag

Can you formulate your view without being offensive?

So many have tried to define it this way or that trying to make it more or less inclusive and tolerating (political correct). Maybe the use of the word "Boer" makes things clearer - to differentiate what I mean from the more politically correct meanings of Afrikaner. And you know what is meant by "Boer". And it would be wrong to interpret "Boer" as a racist statement. It is what it is.

WIthout being offensive. Like the Afrikaner culture, is it just Boerewors and Patricia Lewis? Fords and Rugby? I dunno, am I missing something?

LOL those racist colours showing again :D

If it werent for us afrikaners where would all the pigs go with all the muslims going crazy its "unholy" :D

Mmmm Im not racist.

Oh please, the flag shouldn't bother anyone at all.

it's over and the black majority now have the upper hand, let it go..

Even I know that Afrikaner culture is more than that. Sadly all that is good in a culture always seems to be pipped by the little that's bad.

You sure?

What is an Afrikaner? Ill answer but I might offend you, so in your views, what is an Afrikaner.

The De la Rey Quick Test: If Bok Van Blerk's song "De La Rey" means something to you and you can associate with it then you're a Boertjie. If the song is foreign to you and is meant for someone else, then your not a Boertjie. For me it sends shivers down my spine.

You're missing all of it JK8. The Afrikaner culture is deep. But yes, boerewors en pap are always welcome and can be associated with Afrikaners - no prob. Patricia Lewis isn't even Afrikaans but an English poppie from the north of Jozie who saw a money-making opportunity. Her mom was a DA/PFP politician in the Jo'burg City Council - as English as they come. I guess every culture has its plastic.

One question. What personal satisfaction do get from it look down on us Afrikaners? Are you jeolous of us or what is the case. I promise you, I can mention a lot of things that will make the indian community look like the worst nation in the world, but it is not worth it and not neccesary as we all are on this forum to given intelligent comments and not try to downplay other people!

ok ok ....

Point I'm trying to make is this.

You are where u come from. Our fore fathers built this land me added crops to the land. We faught to keep this country from the English. O ja and the Zulu's helped.

Culture is things like "Boere" Sport days, Jukskei, Rugby, Farming, Hunting, Fishing,Braai and the make of a fire just to sit around it and loving the out doors. Drinking Brandy having fun, dancing.

Then u get your heritage/History.

That is the things like the Groot trek, Voortrekker Monument, Pretoria, The beautifull Free-state this is the base of the Afrikaner/Boer Heritage

Most of this is in relation to the "Groot Trek"

That is where the Afrikaner boer was born

That's been happening for nearly half a century already in Africa. Scorch, start rebuilding..... nay scorch, start rebuilding...... nay scorch, start rebuilding...nay scorch, start rebuilding...... nay scorch, start rebuilding...nay scorch, start rebuilding...... nay scorch,

On and on and on......
