All these attacks are so unnecessary.

All I want to say is I'm proud to be an Afrikaans Boer seun.

This will be carried to my children and so on. I love who I am, where I came from and what my people have done. There was nothing when they got here and they built this country. Even after all the bad things they still had the honor to say we made a mistake let’s make things right....

Now I'm proud of that... Life with that and get yourself sorted. You have real emotional scares and you really need to have them addressed. A forum is not a place for such things... Have a good day now. My time in this thread has come to an end. I don't need to be attacked because of who and what I am.

Nobody's attacking you spitbull :D But you do need to grow up. Oh, and another thing, nobody's out to get you or your people. We're all proud of who and what we are in here.

Our flags? The thing represents evil for 40 million plus residents of this country, period. Why can't you get that?

Can you respect someone else's heritage? It might be in conflict with yours, BUT none the less, its someone else's heritage... Its called Tollerance, and its the ability for you to admit that YOU are not the only person on the planet.

History is doomed to repeat ... Who died and appointed YOU the custodian of 40 million plus people? The ANC flag is pure evil to millions of people, just ask all the surviving relatives of the bombings the ANC orchestrated during the bad years. Its all relative.

It was only in 1925, after the first post-Union Afrikaner government took office, that a Bill was introduced in parliament to make provision for a national flag for the Union of South Africa. This action immediately led to some three years of civil strife and near civil war. The British thought that the Boere wanted to do away with their cherished Imperial symbols. The province of Natal even threatened to secede from the Union. A compromise was finally reached which resulted in the adoption of a flag for the Union late in 1927 and which was first hoisted on 31 May 1928. This was based on the so-called Van Riebeeck flag, which was in reality the old Princevlag, of orange, white and blue horizontal stripes with three smaller flags centred in the white stripe.

We have a new flag for SA and any other flag can now be officially worshiped in people's bedrooms/garages only...period.

So you think! ... I am free to fly my underpants on a flagpole, there is no law that forbids me from flying any flag I choose. (I can fly a Nazi flag if I want... not wise, but I can)

A flag means NOTHING to me... The bible says something about "beware of worshiping false idols" hence, I dont look at earthly things as "Representative" of anything. Its the same as "how much cattle you have is a representation of wealth" - in life it means ZERO and just shows how pathetic people are :-)

A flag is a symbol. There are many types of symbols and many things have symbolic meaning. Symbols are important to societies for many reasons, some good, some bad.

I want to remember the old country because that is the country of my birth; this new country has made it very clear that I am not wanted and I did not choose this new country, it happened around me and without my consent.

I have only two choices, either fight it, or put it behind me. Even if I had the means to fight it, the better choice, in this situation, is to leave so I will remember the times when I lived in a country that wanted me, and I will move to a country that will welcome me.

One day, once the "transformation" is complete, my children may return to the remains and reclaim what they have lost. Then the building can continue.

JK8, while you're at it, please go rename the Supreme court of SA too, (Transvaal Provincial Division).
