Outdoor gate EVO 5 status

Hey guys,

Anyone have an idea on how I can check if my outdoor gate is open or closed? I think it's an Evo 5. A couple of times it didn’t close properly because of some dirt, and then it opened up again, letting my cats get out. It’s a small plot just outside the city.

I’m planning to hook it up to WiFi with a Sonoff to control it remotely, but I’m looking for something that can tell me if it’s open or closed. Any advice would really help!

Cheapest solution I have that comes to mind is a WiFi camera.

And if you find it is open you can use this to close it.
