Outgoing mail problems

Any @lantic clients struggling with outgoing mail not moving out

Error 451?

Using Outlook and struggling since yesterday

Is the email addresses from them? And they provide the net?

adsl yes. I'm using the old absamail adress which Vox took over from Absa.

Yep, incoming is no problem

I must also say that here and there an email goes through but most of the time it gets send back. Would say a ratio of 1:10

All that makes sense to me is that the problem is with their server, but no mail has been received from Mweb to inform of a problem

Long story....first internet SP was ABSA back in the day, hence the @absamail address. Then at some stage Vox took things over. When I changed SP to mweb 3 years ago I had to keep the absamail account for obvious reasons. So I'm paying Vox (R45 just to keep email account) and Mweb.

You might suggest that I use a Mweb email account but to change my email now after all these years...hassle and maybe disastrous

If the computer name is "User" it must be changed....

To anything else. It can be swear words, racial slurs etc, but NOT user.

It is something that MWEB has been rolling out for a few months now. First saw it before Xmas already.

right click on computer / this PC
click on properties
see the name
in Win 7 and later there is a change settings button to the right of this.

And that is an MWEB setting that they are implementing because of security measures! Or so they claim...
