I am having a problem with Outlook 2016 on two different machines retrieving email from my main mail box via IMAP, all out going mail are sent, however any new mail does not upload and sync to my Inbox.

Please if you have had a similar problem and managed to resolve it please let me know what and how you sorted the problem out.

To view my incoming mail until I can get Outlook sorted out, I am using the mail app in windows 10 also using the IMAP server and all is working fine.

Try right click inbox and Subscribe to the folders you wanna sync...
IMAP & POP cant be a nightmare sometimes.

Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Check that your port settings are correct also make sure you using correct authentication settings.

I have been using Outlook 2016 with the same account for the last 8 months with no changes and now my only two PC's running windows 10 with Outlook 2016 have a problem. All I can think is it has something to do with a update from Microsoft, I have run every virus boot sector scan, trojan scan and every malicious file remover I could find on the web and my PC appears to be clear of all funny stuff.
