Here's the thing - you have a group of friends with whom you share emails, i.e. one of the group sends you a message which you then forward to a mail list.

The sender is included in the list, but you don't want to send his message back to him.

How can one create an Outlook rules which will omit that name?

E.g.

Mail list buddies is made up of jack, john and jill. Jill sends you, beckdik, an email which you now forward to buddies. Apart from, prior to sending, editing the recipients to remove jill, is there a way to create an outlook rule to remove jill?

There isn't a rule that is capable of doing it. You might be able to do it via VBA or with an add-in.

You would probably have to use some VBA to get that right.

I've done a bit of VBA scripting for Outlook - it is a little fiddly but it gets the job done.
