Hi guys found this little gem on the internet last week.
Just sharing it for those who might need to use it.

http://www.mt-solution.ca/outlook-express-recovery-software/

My customer just pulled the power from his pc while receiving email,
something about the pc making a noise and he pulled to power cord out.
Long story short this messed up the dbx file for the inbox, now OE6
just crash while loading. Used this little app to save all the emails from corrupted dbx.
Renamed inbox.dbx to inbox.old and OE6 created new inbox.dbx. just imported mails back from extracted folder.. Really save me a lot of time..

Short description of program:
Power Email Recovery for Outlook Express is a professional data recovery software that recovers damaged *.dbx files where MS Outlook Express stores folders with messages. It also recovers accidentally deleted messages. The unique recovery technology allows the user to read damaged *.dbx files created by Outlook Express and recover accidentally deleted messages. Recovered messages are in the .eml format and can be imported into Outlook Express mail and news bases.

NOTE:
Have to do free registration to get serial code. Have not received any spam from them yet on my spare gmail account. But yes it's a free program as long as you do the free registration

why use outlook express in the first place.
outlook or thunderbird are much better choices

I personally don't use Outlook Express as I said before I went to a customer that are using Outlook Express 6, he don't want to change over to Outlook he don't like or want to like Outlook. He stuffed up he's Outlook Express and I needed to fix it. Found this while on Google.

Someone might have a use for this. I was just sharing. :D:D:D

It's a good share TheBossMan, thank you.

Great seeing you again, I hope you are well ;)

I use Outlook Express because I need to have more than 1 identity per email address and dont want all the emails in 1 inbox.

like if my brother wants to check his emails without logging on his windows account and I dont want him to see my emails in the same program or inbox.

The other programs does not have the Identity option that uses a seperate inbox for the identity's

It's easy to this in either Outlook or Thunderbird as well, you just password protect the PST file in Outlook (not sure if you can have more than one identity, but you can have more than one PST), in Thunderbird I'm sure you can have more than one identity.

LOL @ dumb customers
