Outlook not opening ANY links

A friend of mine has a problem with her outlook, it won't open any links in her email, under no circumstances.

I saw that the links said "BLOCKED" then http etc, got it to not say blocked any more by changing security settings but still the same story(except the blocked is gone), don't get any info as to why i can not open those links...

She is running Outlook 2003

Also strangely enough when she types the addresses of known people into the to bar, like a name all the names aren't there any more as they used to be, don't know if it is linked the the other problem?

The blocked part I have on my email as well, but links open when I click on them so don't think it has anything to do with it.

Perhaps check that she has a web browser set to open the links (think its under Internet Options, can't check now as our PCs are heavily blocked at work.

Certain addresses may no longer appear but other appear now. I think Outlook only stores the most recent or last 10 used or something like that and then they get overwritten by other that are used more often. I could be wrong. Have been before.

I think there's a setting in Outlook to allow this - will check when I get to work.

Would you believe it, IT just upgraded our version to 2007 last night... I think it's different to 2003 now.

Those addresses are stored in a .nk2 file. You will have to go look and see if the file was maybe recreated for some reason or got corrupted and hopefully the old one is still there. The file is normally located in c:\documents and settings\*username*\application data\microsoft\outlook make sure the file name is the same as your outlook profile name.
Make sure outlook is closed rename it to the right name and open outlook and it should all be back.
