What is the big fuss about the outsurance father's day advert?. When are we going to learn that we are all human regardless of our skin colour. I don't see anything wrong with the advert, but some people do see something wrong with it. Our appetite for racism so big even small minor things bother us.

This is a sensitive issue in our country but what is a way forward to get along and move on. The are something that are offending where a complain can be lodged, but the outsurance advert is not offending didn't see a need for people to complain.

I didn't grow up in the apartheid era but I have notice if two people are fighting WE both end up bring the race issues in OUR fight . Can we look beyond the race issue we all human being black or white.

Lol soon we will be complaining that a white or black car has over take me on the road.

The other add with the guy getting killed by a truck driver is something that upsets me, my son, my wife WAY more. Its completely inappropriate, but nobody says a word about it :)

Fake news? There was a thread about those ads. ;)

It should really only upset one or cause discomfort if one hasn't taken adequate care to provide for responsibilities in case of ones death, if one has, then one can just filter out the ad as done and dusted.

JOHANNESBURG – OUTsurance has apologised for its Father's Day video which did not represent South Africa's demographics appropriately.

The video was posted on Twitter and Facebook featuring mostly white dads and only one black father, causing a stir on social media.

OUTsurance has since withdrawn the advert saying it was an unintentional oversight.

Look like they already removed the video honestly wrong with the video in my opinion, but maybe someone who saw the advert can show me what is offensive about the advert so I can understand the big fuss about it.

Just google outsurance fathers day advert maybe you will fine the video.

Lol just saw the other outsurance ad about a white family having a dog called Boipelo. The sure know how to put their foot in it.

Yeah, my child doesnt need to watch a sitcom then see a mom and child speak to their dad, then a truck hits the dad

There is no racism in South Africa. What is the big fuss? Get over it. And so on a so forth and stuff like that. #racistpigs

Cant wait for the next Outsurance ad featuring an Afrikaans, English, Khoisan, Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Sotho, Swazi, Tsonga, Tswana, Venda, Xhosa and Zulu person all getting ripped of with exorbitant insurance costs.

are you serious?

Let me break it down for you because you seem incapable of searching for and reading a couple of articles related to white privilege, feminism (a school of thought that advocates for equality), and race in 2017.

There is a fuss over the ad because people of colour feel like they are not being represented.

It's easy for you to say "we're all human regardless of skin colour" when you are constantly shown images of people who belong to your race. And apart from that, the whole "I don't see colour" or "can we look beyond race" defense is pretty racist; by saying that you negate the unprivileged experience that a person of colour has to endure in our world.

Basically, the Outsurance ad says "only white is all right" and you're defending that.

Yeah. They already have a reputation for not paying claims and now they pander to the SJWs on twitter.
That's not the kind of business that I like to support. This boycott list is getting awfully long.

TBH your post makes you sound racist, since you see color in every little thing, and object to it if it doesn't include you. By your logic, nobody would be able to make ads ever again unless it includes every race that exists (not just black and white).

Sounds like pretty stupid logic, to be fair.
