I'm on a MyWi 128 contract (old contract) and have gone over my cap twice already. What's the penality, if any, should this happen frequently? Have anyone of your guys exceeded your cap (mmm silly question)? @ what frequency (every month or every now and again), amount and did you get any warning?

I really like to know guys 'cos I've recently gotten into torrents and I can see I'm gonna be in some heavy traffic :)

Thank you :)

Fear not.Nothing will happen to you. When I was on the 256k package , I used to hit 30-35G a month.I know many people on this forum who used to go over the cap.Remember its a soft cap

:)

I recently had some enquiries wrt the discrepancies between the bandwidth measured by Sentech and Netmonitor installed on my pc as well as the fact that my usage sometimes "jumps" a gig+, WHEN I AM OFF-LINE. After a couple of mails etc, I finally got to speak to a NoWire rep who assured me that on the classic packages, I am also on the 128 classic, you will NOT be penalized for exceeding the cap. If, however, it gets out of hand, you will first be warned by mail.
So after that I don't worry anymore. As it is, on a 128 package, how far can you exceed your cap???

by 14 gigs

Define "out of hand." I went over my 20 gig cap by 1 gig last month and I would like to squeeze as much juice out of my cap as possible as 20 gigs just isn't enough. I know this may seem like I'm taking advantage but I've only ever exceeded the cap by twice in a year and I wouldn't mind sticking to it if they had data roll over so you don't miss out when you're under the cap.

Man you guys suck :P Do you know when the end of the Classic contracts will come around? I wish that I could have gotten one before they stopped selling them. I am stuck paying R700 for 5 gigs!!

I still have until October to go and am also using the max I can, but I have never exceeded the 10G cap. After October I am not sure where I am going to go. It seems a waste having spent all this money on a modem that is going to be used as yet more useless technology.

In the good old days (Apr and May 2005) I hit 20.5GB and 19.5GB respectively on a MyWi 128 Classic package.

We never got into the actual details of what NoWire/Sentech considers as "out of hand". I presume if you say exceed with say 50% two three months in a row, you will have a row on-hand.... (if you get my drift)

I have exceeded my 10gigs with app 2gig twice, not in a row though, and no moans.
