Overclocked but temps hardly increase?

Ok, so I decided to overclock the CPU and GPU a bit on my laptop. Used Nvida Control Panel to overclock bit by bit and Prime95 and AtiTool/Furmark to test stability.

CPU : T4400
2.2Ghz stock, Max temps on prime95 around 65 degrees
2.65Ghz overclocked, Max temps on prime95 around 68 degrees

GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT 320M
500/750/1100 stock, Max temps on Furmark and AtiTool around 68 degrees
680/950/1440 overclocked, Max temps on Furmark and AtiTool around 73 degrees

That was a huge overclock, especially on the GPU but the temps remain quite cool. Just wondering if this is normal regarding the temps. I didn't fiddle with voltage settings. Gaming performance improved significantly. Dragon Age and Mass Effect 1/2 are smooth at max details, whereas before the overclock I was using medium graphics and textures. The CPU is the bottleneck in those games as both cores get maxed out to 100%.
 
Raising clocks raises temps almost linearly, while raising voltages raise temps exponentially. So temps do look to be within the realm of the possible. But without raising voltages those clocks dont look possible. How long did you run the stability tests for? Also, run intelburntest instead of prime95. It does a much better job. Set it to max ram and 10 passes. If it gets through that its fine, whereas prime95 can sometimes run for 30 minutes and not show an unstable OC
 
I ran the tests for about an hour each. Will also run intelburntest tonight. The GPU clocks looked insane, hence my post. At stock it's around the performance of a 9600M GT. So wonder what it's like now with the 30%-40% boost.
 
Oh, I forgot to mention those temps above are with both the CPU and GPU maxed at 100%. Prime95 and AtiTool running at the same time. If I run just Prime95 the max CPU temp is 61 degrees and with just AtiTool the max GPU temp is 68 degrees after overclocking. Even lower temps than some desktops.

The laptop freezes if I push the CPU over 2.7Ghz so I settled for 2.6Ghz. The GPU can probably be tweaked a bit more.

By the way I'm running mines at 2.4ghz - seems to run a few degrees cooler at this frequency - To get past 2.7ghz you might have to increase the voltage in the bios just a tiny tiny bit higher...
