i've read a bit on the net and saw guys talking about getting 3ghz on a 2.2 with a stock cooler
i've got a E4500 along with 2gd 667 ram... how would i go about trying to overclock my cpu? (and is overclocking bad for it? void warranty?)
thanks...

Would not try it with a stock cooler though, as for Warenty if it pop's it gone, no-money-back-for-you!

As for the OC' does your mobo have the option on the bios to do it? what mobo have you got?

msi p4m900. its a temp solution til i have cash for a good one. and i have never been in the bios... so i dont know =(

Google overclocking and read some of the manuals and make sure you know enough before you start messing around. Only advice i can give as i will not tell anyone how to potentially blow up their equipment :p

ie i cannot be blamed for damage :)

yeah ... this forum is not the best to pose this question - check out systemshock forums, etc. There are lots of them.
