I am looking into getting some redundancy into our internet connection at work. The big problem is that our static IP's are whitelisted on a few services and simply swapping out to a different internet connection only partially gives us access to all the services required. We also have some services hosted from our IP's.

Yes, I know it is probably easier to whitelist all IP addresses. Unfortunately it sometimes takes a few months to get 3rd parties to change firewall rules.

Are there any ISPs that allow BGP peering so that you can apply for your own IP range which is not going to cost an arm and a leg? We need about 50 - 100 Mbps bandwidth, at about 1:5 to 1:10 contention. Would this be doable at all? Not sure we can go into the "enterprise" space. We are a medium sized company.

We've done this in the past. Your biggest stumbling block is AFRINIC. If you have the patience to deal with them and jump through all the hoops for the ASN and a /22 or /23, we can connect you to our DCs in Johannesburg or Cape Town.

Feel free to send me a PM.

You would need to apply to Afrinic as an assciate member, it's a little bit of a process and you would require at minimum a /24, but it can be done and we would be happy to assist. Please drop me a PM to discuss further.
