For the capped peeps:
UPDATED | OzEmail customers can now sign up to iiBroadband2 plans, which include iiNet's 8Mbit ADSL plans.
iiNet finalised the purchase of OzEmail earlier this year, and customers have been waiting to switch to iiNet's plans, which feature faster speeds and better value. The switch is optional however, with existing customers able to stay on their OzEmail plans.
iiBroadband2 plans feature a minimum speed of 1500/256, and if bundled with iiPhone on a supported exchange can offer speeds of up to 8Mbit/1Mbit using standard ADSL modems.
OzEmail customers are now also able to utilise 'fast churn' (or 'rapid transfer') where available, which allows you to change ADSL providers with minimal downtime.
iiNet has also resumed migrations of customers to its own DSLAMs, which now include thousands of OzEmail customers. The migrations halted last year due to disagreements with Telstra. "We've reached an interim agreement with Telstra and migrations will recommence in mid May," explained Michael Malone, iiNet Managing Director. "After that, we'll be working with Telstra to agree on the final price for mass migrations, which will be based on the real underlying cost of doing the migration."
