P2P = Bad idea mkay...

I am a huge believer in a free market economy, so long as businesses don't exploit the consumer. Who can complain when you can get things like Visual Studio Team Suite for free?

Newsgroups are a very good way of "grabbing" the things you want. The added benefit is that they are (for the most part) locally cached. Therefore guaranteeing almost maximum speed.

The down side is that torrents always have the latest stuff.

Its a tradeoff that is to be made.

Totally OT but I had to have a good chuckle at this statement. I know one country seriously more dangerous than Uganda ... SA!

Obviously they won't fly over. Its much easier to deny visas to all Ugandan officials and businessmen and even tourists visiting the US. On another note, they could sue the Ugandan organisation responsible in a US court and win a summary judgement. The next step is freezing that business entity's international assets as well as the assets of its owners/operators/proprietors. The current war on terror makes it very easy to freeze any funds in any western bank account.
Such funds could then be seized as compensation for the copyright infrigement. Oh I forgot its even easier, they could freeze foreign aid
going into that country too, especially from the US government.
How about all those loans the 3rd world country owns the US? They could
demand immediate repayment?

LOL... The gov will say they can only afford R100 a month... LOL :D

BTW: I can't see that happening. A copyright infringement and the foreign aid is suspended...:rolleyes: Nah....
