Hi,

I'm not sure if this the correct forum to address this question, but here goes.

I'm with UNInet in Cape Town and fairly happy. I've just been having trouble using p2p(Kazaa lite and DC++). It connects but downloads quickly go down to 0.0Kb/s. They claim that p2p is opened after 7. I was just wondering if anyone has any issues and can provide any assistance regarding these apps.

I have a 128kb connection.

Thanks,

In many cases P2P software works on ratio's. This means that what you download versus upload. In your case this may not be the case, as you are not getting any download. May I suggest switching to BitTorrent and use that method. The risk of P2P is you are sharing files on your PC. In BitTorrents case you only share that file while the torrent is active, you can also determined at which rate to share your upload speed, however word of warning as this can effect your download speeds. Lastly use a site that you need to register this will afford known issues, and the full download to complete. Good Luck!

I started using BitLord a few months ago. It certainly works better than some other apps...by about 1KB/s. But it is fairly consistent. The problem that I find is that if I don't complete the download quite soon, I can't find anyone to connect to.

I find my torrents at mininova.org.
