P2P Problem

ive been using Ares for a whole month now and i last night i even downloaded a few mp3's.This morning i needed a song.I can search the song and get all the search results.But when i select download it puts it in the download list and just says connecting.It doesnt start to download.
Thinking Ares may have a problem i got Limewire and it has the exact same issue

Any help.My firewall is allowing both to run.
Please Help! ! ! I gotta get Paris's Song

And what if aint mp3.....thats not the point.Id like to know what the problem could be and how to fix it.Not alternatives.......

look for files with high availability, if you don't already. if it has low availability, you might have to 'wait in line' to start downloading.

perhaps also try other p2p programs, e-Mule is good.
