P2p

Thanx, understood. Would u recommend i go through IS or someone smaller like Nukecap for P2P?

If you set up your router and and static IP on your machine correctly (open ports and all that stuff..) then after hours and so long as it's a well seeded/ non leeched torrent you should get speeds around 40/50k..

If you want to try and minimise your upload, you can set the limit in Bitcomet, but it adversy effects your speeds and as has been pointed out, kinda defeats the point behind P2P. However if you can find a well seeded torrent with few leechers then your upload will be reduced.. Example a torrent with 20 seed and 1 leecher will give you pretty much zilch upload..

Opening and forwarding your ports is the most important thing you can do to get good torrent speeds. Just remember that during the day on IS P2P goes like a glacier.. I'm with openweb and I've had good speeds (not amazing, but acceptable) so long as I choose the times to use Bitcomet.. Remember that even though your download speeds during the day on IS with P2P are slow, you uploads will fly if you let them, so watch out.. Trick is to get times when there is a balance between good download speeds so you don;t spend forever downloading a file while uploading a lot..

There are many good sites out there covering P2P and getting the best out of it. If you read these and follow the instructions you'll see better results.

IMHO even while IS can be kuk for browsing etc.. during the day, I never got the P2P speeds when I was with SAIX that I'm getting now..

hope this helps

oh and re the newservers.. Couldn't agree more. Just got into them and it's geat.. Prefer the ease of use of torrents, but thats just a thing 'cause I'm new to newsservers.. NOOB! :)
